What movie always picks you up? For me, it would probably be something from my childhood (like The Goonies) or a major action film (like The Matrix). The latter has the same effect as blasting Metallica on the way home after one of those days at work. Actually decompressing to just be overwhelmed with chaos.

Goodfellas and Heat make me want to grill a steak or make Sausage and Peppers on a Sunday afternoon.

I once watched Inception everyday for 2 weeks straight.

I think too much when I watch the first Terminator. The Technoir Club scene in which the Terminator sees Sarah Connor the first time, Subroutines kicking in.

Nausicaa and The Valley of the Wind. The Americanized version was called "Warriors of the Wind" which aired on HBO back in the mid 80s and was highly edited. If I'm bored, this movie gets played. The music always caught my attention, much like Transformers: The Movie (1986).

Mine is a Very 90s Danny Boyle movie, that is kind of like Love Story Meets Pulp Fiction...A Life Less Ordinary.

If you haven't seen this movie, you should it doesn't get the praise that some of Boyle's movies do but it is my favorite one and the soundtrack is fantastic. It is just so 90s.

As a kid I remember going to see the movie Grand Prix. It was 1966 and I really liked auto racing. It is still my go to feel good movie since it evokes lots of good memories. Music by Maurice Jarre and great filming.

    The Quiet Man

It has always been a great movie, IMO, but all the previous DVD and BRD releases all looked like crap. However, a new Olive Signature re-mastered edition was released a while ago that finally looks pretty good. It's certainly the best DVD/BRD edition I've seen.
