Got a message from Regal yesterday that they were offering a $35 pass to see all the Best Picture nominees. Link to the page is here.

I've seen quite a few of the movies, but I thought about doing this anyway. Anyone else have a regal close?

    we have a REGAL/WARREN theater
but no Academy award nominee special.
Our Local Museum always does SHORT FILMS
    Live action, Animated & Documentary.
They show many of the Nominee films, i.e.,
    Foreign films, small indie types.

We have one around town...I wouldn't call it close, to me anyhow. That looks like a good deal if you really want to plow through them all. I can see myself going to Darkest Hour, Dunkirk, and The Post. Already saw Get Out--at home on Vudu. The rest...I guess I'll prejudge them unfairly, which all kills the value prop on this deal.

Yea, I'm going to pass on this deal I think. We're going to see I, Tonya and Three Billboards this weekend. That only leaves a couple that I haven't seen. Plus, they are taking pre sales on the showings.

Carl - I wish we had something like that here.
