    I'm bummed, got my annual cold yesterday, eve of Christmas Eve. Sore throat, coughs and snot. Yuck.

    I'm sittin' here chillin' and Kelly and the gang are having big fun in Marin.

    I made scratch tamales, with an excellent carne sauce and fresh pico de gallo, all full of ancho flavor. Hope y'all ate well and enjoyed your Xmas.

    Also threw together a decent soup with a shrimp and corn broth, plus lots more veg. Made it with leftover parts from the rest, but for the frozen shrimp.

    Made my first soufflés today. Came out nice, going to try to make a cheese one soon

    Claud, you're a real paisano! That's an impressive pasta rack. The Kitchen Aid mixer is the best thing ever. I got mine in the '70s and it still works great. What kind of sauce do you make?

    Chris, your chocolate souffle looks fantastic. How'd it taste? I used dabble with recipes from Julia, but haven't made one in a while.

    I made a pot of bean-less chili with ground turkey and fresh hatch chilies and skillet cornbread made with blue corn meal. Now mixing up some mulled cider with Knob Creek Rye. Happy New Year everyone!

    They were very good! Only planned on making them for my wife and myself, but my kids are most of one so next time I’ll make 4!

    Its a meat sauce with ground beef and sweet Italian sausage, plus Marsala wine with the usual ingredients.

    Chris, I agree with John, your shuffle looks great!! I'll bet it was damn tasty too!!

    Looks great guys.....just had some nice Souffles at the Peabody In Memphis.
    I was sharing the hotel with the Iowa Cyclones. Nice Hotel. Nice food.
